Jiachen Li wins award for excellence in computational approaches
Jiachen Li
Congratulations to Jiachen Li, a postdoctoral researcher from Professor Tianyu Zhu’s research group. Li was awarded a Wiley Computers in Chemistry Outstanding Postdoc Award by the International Journal of Quantum Chemistry and the Journal of Computational Chemistry from the American Chemical Society (ACS) Computers in Chemistry (COMP) Division for excellence in computational approaches.
The award, which comes with a cash prize, was presented to Li at the ACS Fall 2025 meeting in Washington, DC. It is designed to help postdocs gain visibility within the COMP community and transition to subsequent employment.
Li’s research in the Zhu Group focuses on the development of electronic structure theory and its applications to quantum materials and heterogeneous catalysis.
