Please join Yale Chemistry for the Fall 2025 Student-Invited Biophysical Chemistry Seminar with Prof. Carlos Baiz, Associate Professor, from University of Texas Austin.

Title: TBA

The Baiz Group research focuses on characterizing the molecular interactions that drive protein folding and association, and mediate compartmentalization in biological membranes. They develop and apply new optical tools based on ultrafast two-dimensional infrared (2D IR) spectroscopy. The Baiz Group's current research builds upon their expertise in ultrafast optics, non-linear spectroscopy and microscopy, molecular dynamics simulations, semiclassical models of vibrational spectra, and protein biophysics.

More information about Prof. Baiz's research can be found here: Baiz Group – Biophysical Chemistry @ UT-Austin(Link is external)

Location: Sterling Chemistry Lab (SCL), Room 160
