Jarvis Hill Awarded Esteemed Fellowship in Biomedical Research to Treat Brain Cancer

June 27, 2024

Jarvis Hill, Ph.D., from the Herzon Lab, is among a select group of postdoctoral fellows chosen as a 2024 Jane Coffin Childs Fellow for their groundbreaking science in cancer and human disease research.

Through his research, Hill aims to level up treatments for one of the deadliest forms of brain cancer – glioblastoma. His focus on tumor-specific inhibitors may present a new paradigm for designing chemotherapeutics that exploit specific DNA repair defects.

Read Hill’s lookbook spotlight (pg. 9 and below) to learn more about glioblastoma and how he will use his background in synthetic medicinal chemistry and neuro-oncology to attempt to discover therapeutics for this drug-resistant brain cancer.
