Event description:
Join Yale Chemistry for a Silliman Biophysical Seminar with Gary J. Pielak, Kenan Distinguished Professor of Chemistry, Biochemistry and Biophysics, University of North Carolina.

Title: TBD
Gary J. Pielak’s research uses the formalisms of equilibrium thermodynamics and the tools of molecular biology and biophysics to understand the structure, stability, and function of globular and intrinsically-disordered proteins in physiologically relevant environments. His research areas inlcude In-Cell NMR, Macromolecular Crowding, and the study of Tardigrade proteins. More information on the Pielak lab can be found at https://pielakgroup.web.unc.edu/
