Event description:

The Chemistry DEI Advocates will be hosting a meet-n-greet information session for the current first-years and anyone new to the department. Come get to know us and what we do.

We are trained volunteers who serve as a resource for all department members. Our goal is to support colleagues confronting discrimination, harassment, mental health challenges, and other issues related to equity, inclusion, and climate.

We host casual social gatherings, like Chemists & Coffee, to bring together the Chemistry community. We also bring DEIB trainings to the department.

Upcoming trainings:

  • Mental Health First Aid Certification (August 21 & 22 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.)

  • Title IX (June 15, 10:00 a.m.)

  • Implicit Bias (June 28, 4:00 - 5:00 p.m.)

  • Mental Health and Wellness in Graduate School of Arts & Sciences (TBD)

  • Inclusive and Effective Mentoring (TBD)
