Yale Chemistry/Yale Center for Natural Carbon Capture Seminar: Erwin Reisner, Professor of Energy and Sustainability Member of Energy IRC Steering Committee, University of Cambridge

Event time:
April 25, 2023 - 12:00pm to 1:00pm
Location:
Sterling Chemistry Laboratory (SCL) See map
Event description:

Join Yale Chemistry for an Organic Chemistry Seminar with Erwin Reisner, Professor of Energy and Sustainability Member of Energy IRC Steering Committee, University of Cambridge.
The Reisner laboratory develops new concepts and technologies for the conversion of solar energy and renewable electricity into sustainable fuels and chemicals for a circular economy. Thus, they explore chemical aspects of energy and sustainability, in particular photo- and electrocatalysis and the interface of synthetic chemistry, materials and nano-science, chemical biology and engineering. Central themes of their cross-disciplinary and collaborative approach are the development of processes for the upcycling of plastic and biomass waste as well as the use of carbon dioxide and water to produce green fuels and chemicals for a sustainable future.
Date: April 25, 2023
Time 12:00pm
Location: Yale Center for Natural Carbon Capture
