Please join Yale Chemistry for the Bristol Meyers Squibb organic chemistry seminar with Xiaoguang Lei, Professor of Chemical Biology, Peking University.
Title: TBA
The Lei Lab mainly focuses on the following fields:
-Utilizing chemical genetics to study the molecular mechanism and regulation methods of biology pathways related to major human diseases, such as cancer, infectious diseases, degenerative disease;
-Conducting research on the synthesis of complex natural products and utilize active natural compounds to discover new biological targets and elucidate novel biological mechanisms of action;
-Studying the biosynthesis of complex natural products, unravel new enzymatic mechanisms, and comprehensively employ synthetic chemistry and synthetic biology approaches to efficiently produce drug molecules derived from natural sources;
-Developing the next generation of effective biocompatible reactions and combine with chemical cross-linking mass spectrometry to study complex protein structures and protein-protein interactions;
-Searching for and discovery of new drug targets, and utilizing medicinal chemistry approaches to develop innovative drugs.
