Congratulations to Professor Stacy Malaker on receiving an ONO Initiative 2025 Award from Ono Pharma Foundation for her project, “Harnessing chemical glycobiology to target disease-associated glycosylation.” The award is an investment in high-risk and high-reward science research projects which have the potential to lead to scientific discoveries and, possibly, based on further research, to breakthrough treatments for patients.

The Malaker Lab investigates the relationship between human disease and a group of proteins called mucins. They study the changes in mucin sugars by using mass spectrometry.
