Event description:
On October 3, 2022, the Department of Chemistry of Yale University and the New Haven Section of the American Chemical Society will honor Professor John F. Hartwig, Henry Rapoport Chair in Organic Chemistry, University of California, Berkeley, as the 2020 recipient of the Kirkwood Medal. The award, which is presented biennially “for outstanding contributions to the field of Chemistry,” honors the late Professor John Gamble Kirkwood, former Sterling Professor of Chemistry and Chairman of the Department at Yale.
The award ceremony will take place at the Sterling Chemistry Laboratory lecture hall 110 on October 3 at 4:00 p.m.
