Three National Awards for Chemistry Faculty Members

Three members of Yale Chemistry have received national awards from the American Chemical Society. William Jorgensen, Sterling Professor of Chemistry, will receive the Joel Henry Hildebrand Award in the Theoretical & Experimental Chemistry of Liquids; Alanna Schepartz, the Milton Harris ‘29 Professor of Chemistry, will receive the Ronald Breslow Award for Achievement in Biomimetic Chemistry; Jonathan Ellman, the Eugene Higgins Professor of Chemistry, will receive the Herbert C. Brown Award for Creative Research in Synthetic Methods. All will receive their awards at the ACS National Meeting in San Diego in March 2012. The National Awards of the American Chemical Society are among the highest honors bestowed upon outstanding scientists by the ACS. Additional information may be found here.
